Fees

In British Columbia, buyers are typically not charged a direct commission for brokerage representation in a commercial real estate transaction.

In most cases, the buyer’s brokerage is compensated through the listing brokerage, from the commission paid by the seller — subject to the terms of the listing agreement. This allows buyers and owner-occupiers to receive professional representation, negotiation support, and market guidance without an upfront advisory fee, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
